Vietnamese artists attend Beijing exhibition

Vietnamese artists won praise for their work at the 8th international women’s artist’s exhibition, in Beijing, recently.
“Her Presence in Colours “ opened on April 13 at the Chinese Art Palace and presented 147 pieces by 147 female artists from throughout the world.

Running under the banner, “Dream of Peace”, painters used incorporated differing styles to express their ideas on peace and life.

Vietnamese painter Dang Thi Lan said: “My country experienced 30 years of war so peace is always our dream. The white pigeon on my work is the envoy of peace, which is carrying on his back a little girl who is playing the flute. I want to bring Vietnam’s charm to this exhibition”.

Hue city to become festival city The Hue city’s People’s Committee held a ceremony on June 3 to announce the Prime Minister’s decision to approve a project to turn Hue city into a festival city.
